Continued Growth adds Aaron Sybrant
The Kearney startup adds team members as projects to continue to scale nationally, helping utilities prevent power outages and wildfires.
Aaron Sybrant joins Fast Forward as Data Collection Specialist, expanding data collection capacity for rural towns needing help with electric grid reliability.
Aaron said, “I have always had a love of seeing new places and meeting new people. Before starting at Fast Forward, I worked at Holmes Plumbing and Heating Supply under a multi-role position driving hundreds of miles to interface with customers. I am excited to visit and help a lot of the same rural towns I'd already been visiting. The tech Fast Forward is building can really do good for many rural towns."
Aaron received a Business Administration degree, emphasis in Management, from the University of Nebraska at Kearney College of Business, with a minor in Media Production.
As a native of the Sandhills of Nebraska, Aaron grew up on his family’s ranch and keeps one foot in the door still owning livestock. After college, Aaron worked as a Department Manager at Kearney Menards, subsequentially moving on to Holmes Plumbing and Heating Supply.
Aaron said “Growing up in a rural environment south of Bassett, Nebraska, really instilled in me the importance of how much of an impact being proactive can have. My father always talked about how important it was to keep from starting fires while operating equipment. I really align with Fast Forward’s commitment to helping customers mitigate the risks that arise from unknown infrastructure issues.”
Aaron enjoys hunting and fishing, riding his motorcycle, and working on classic vehicles. When he is not doing that, he is playing pool and hanging out with friends and helping family back on the ranch.
CEO Dusty Birge said, "The economic growth a startup can add to the local and statewide economy is something often overlooked, but I'm starting to hear more often how residents are starting to see the positive impact from our job creation and increased revenue into the state. Aarons interest to travel and see the millions miles of powerlines aligns well for us, we are excited to have him on the team!"
Birge also mentioned they have already helped utilities save over $1 million dollars in outages and grid optimization and are rapidly expanding into other states.
